Music is paramount in any well-rounded education. Music transcends and incorporates all aspects of the human experience. Music puts into practice what is learned through the other disciplines and promotes creativity and originality. Through music, one gains new ways to experience and express emotions and promotes emotional growth and maturity. Therefore the ancient Greeks called Musica the “Chief of the muses'' above the muses of math, and science. Music is the universal language shared by all humanity and through music, one has the opportunity to experience all of humanity itself.
